Sure.

2008 Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge
Sat. February 23, 2008
Lees Ford Resort and Marina

Great event that helps raise money for a great cause.  And it doesn’t hurt that bad.  Short notice but our next meeting is tonight at 6pm at Lees Ford Marina.

Maybe We could try...A Raffel for something.... Like a UK basket, dinner reservations, concert tickets.

Or a Bachelor Auction. I am sure we could find some delightful, successful handsome men out there that would go on one dinner date.  Highest Bidder wins!

Just a thought....

Hey Tif!
Are you looking for ideas as a philanthropy?… One idea that has really taken off here in Columbus is the Slice of Columbus: Pizza Challenge. All the pizza places come together to one location (ie: downtown, the Centre) and compete to be the best pizza in town. You pay $12 at the door or $8 if ticket purchased early. Rates may need to be changed based on Somerset market. All proceeds go to Childrens Hospital, but you may want to think about Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Save the Virginia, or some other great cause that is more local.... Basically its all you can eat pizza and then you vote on the best. Oh, and there’s a band. So if you like to eat and to raise money for a good cause, its a win/win situation.

I can’t believe this book doesn’t get more attention. I just re-read it for the first time in quite awhile, so it was very new to me. Great location (Israel), great characters (heroes, thugs and the sleaziest lawyer EVER, and that’s saying something). And, in my opinion, L’s best ever ending: “We bring out our dead.” So cinematic!
